Barbara (Barb) Dwyer was chosen Employee of the Month for July 2010.  She has been employed at AMMC since January 2000 in the Radiology department.  She and her husband, Curt, live in Paragould.  Barb has three sons, Todd, Terry and Daniel; two stepdaughters, Debra and Audra; and five siblings.

Barb attended school in Oak Grove and later at Black Hawk Tech, in Beloit, WI, where she also became a P.C.T.  She completed Cosmetology School in Paragould and became a licensed real estate agent at ASU in Jonesboro, but decided to pursue a degree as a Radiology Tech at ASU. She also took a course to be a court recorder in Paragould, but decided that was not something she would enjoy. She commented, “It actually messed up my typing skills.”

Barb has served on the Awards & Recognition, Benevolence, and Employee of the Month committees.  She has been an SEA Ambassador, Beacon of Light and an AR. Senior.

Cooking, reading, helping people in need and her family are among her interests.  She relates, “I am someone who enjoys doing for others.”  Her proudest and most memorable time was when she graduated from ASU at age 48.  She has had many “moments” in her lifetime, but she thanks God for a good life.

Barb is proud to work at AMMC and really enjoys working with her co-workers.
