The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Education Department is dedicated to providing educational services to the employees of Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, students, and the community, which are consistent with AMMC's mission statement and goals. The intent of these services is to improve the delivery of health care through the education of present and future health professionals and to improve community health through health awareness.
The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Education Department offers services to patients, families, and the community through support groups and educational presentations.
The Education Department recognizes that cost effective education, training and developmental goals must be achieved and outcomes measured that signify quality and excellence. We intend to provide opportunity and resources for learning and staff development through collaboration with all Departments.

Educational classes and Continuing Education is available for our staff on www.Carelearning.com. AMMC is also a Community Training Center for the American Heart Association. CPR classes for Healthcare Providers, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support classes are available. We also provide the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. There is a computer lab available for our staff in the Education Department, and our library is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
We provide inpatient and outpatient education on an individual basis. We have Nurse Educators on staff that provide classes, both individual and group, on diabetic education, colostomy care, cholesterol education, weight management, and childbirth education.
AMMC has an annual Men's Health Fair and Women's Health Fair, held in the POB Auditorium. We also offer CPR classes for the community, please call for a schedule of these classes.
