CPR-BLS for Healthcare Providers
Course Description:
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a Barrier Device, a Bag-Mask Device, and Oxygen); use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or non certified, licensed or non licensed healthcare professionals.
Fee:
No charge for AMMC Employees except for the purchase of the card, which is $3.00. For Non-AMMC employees the charge is $50.00.
Registration:

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Course Description:
This course is an American Heart Association course and focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency cardiac care. Lectures are provided on core material and supplemented with teaching stations.
Target Group:
Physicians, Nurses, Paramedics, Respiratory Therapists, and Allied Healthcare Personnel.
Prerequisite:
Basic Life Support Certification in a Healthcare Provider Course. There is also a Pre-Test available when you register.
Fee:
AMMC employees must pay $10.00 for their Certification Card. Non-AMMC employees must pay $150.00 for the full class and $100.00 for re certification. Books are available for loan or purchase, call Staff Development at 239-7016 for more information.

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Course Description:
This course is an American Heart Association course and is designed to provide healthcare providers with an opportunity to intensify their pediatric skills. PALS will assist the participate in preventing and recognizing cardiopulmonary arrest, as well as enhance their cognitive and psychomotor skills to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children. The course meets the requirements of the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Target Group:
Obstetricians, Family Physicians, Pediatricians, Nurses, Paramedics, and Allied Healthcare Personnel.

Course Description:
This course if an American College of Emergency Physicians Course that focuses on knowledge and skills necessary to provide treatment for critically injured patients in a variety of settings.

Emergency Department, Nurses, Physicians, Paramedics, EMT's, First Responders.

NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Course Description:
This course is approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics and focuses on assisting the student in assessment and skills with newborn resuscitation and/or deliveries. It is designed as a self-instructional program, which allows the participant time to acquire and master a skill before learning another. The design of the program allows each individual to attain the appropriate skills as defined by job responsibility.
